Software, not a CPA.
Ledg is a tool. Your accountant is still your accountant. The CRA is still the CRA. We do not file your T1, T2125, or T2; we make sure the books that get handed off are clean.
Canadian by design.
Built in British Columbia, Canada for sole proprietors and 1-person corporations nationwide. Tax rules wired in from day one. Data stored in Canada. No bolt-on i18n that calls PST a 'local tax'.
Small team, focused scope.
A focused team, no outside investors, no growth-at-all-costs. We build what solo Canadian operators actually need, in the order they need it, and we pay attention when you tell us it is wrong.

Primary database runs in ca-central-1 (Toronto). Receipts and minute-book documents live in your own Google Drive, not ours.

Terms, privacy, cookies, disclaimers, security practices. All public at /legal. No opaque dashboards, no fine print after the fact.
Free up to 100 ledger entries.
No credit card. No time limit. A month or two of real use for most solo operators. Move to Solo at $4 a month when you outgrow it.
No dark patterns.
No fake urgency. No confusing plan tiers. No exit barrier. Your books export cleanly to CSV at any moment.
03 / From the team
A letter, not a mission statement.
Ledg started as a spreadsheet. A very messy spreadsheet. Running a small Canadian business solo is genuinely strange, whether you're a freelancer or a 1-person corp. You wear every hat, tax season arrives, and suddenly a pile of unsorted transactions becomes a real problem.
We built Ledg because the existing options were either built for bookkeepers who already know what a journal entry is, or built for US businesses with an optional “Canadian tax” module bolted on. Nothing in the middle felt like it was built for the reality we live. So we made it.

Every decision starts with the CRA, not the IRS.
A lot of accounting software treats Canada as a translation problem. Ledg is the opposite. Canadian tax rules, Canadian filing deadlines, Canadian provinces, and Canadian privacy law are the default. Everything else is an extension later.
